Wednesday Evenings 6:15 p.m. - 7:45 p.m. (Sept - May)
2 Timothy 2:15 says, "Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth."
AWANA stands for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed and it is taken from this instruction from Paul to Timothy. The purpose of this ministry is to help our students learn practical applications of biblical truths with an emphasis on scripture memorization.
A typical AWANA meeting consists of three parts, book time where memorization and other activities are completed using AWANA workbooks and materials, lesson time where a Bible based lesson is taught to the class and finally game time.
Our hope is that, through this ministry, our students will understand the biblical basis for Christian faith and practice and that the seed of the gospel will be planted in their hearts.
